Privacy at Bunat

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Bunat respects the privacy of schools and users. This policy explains the types of data we process through the website and platform, why we process it, and how it is protected, retained, and shared.

01

Scope and responsible parties

This policy applies to the Bunat website, contact and join forms, platform accounts, and services. When Bunat is used through a school or education organization, that organization may decide which student and staff data is entered, while Bunat processes that data to provide the service under its agreement with the organization.

02

Data we process

  • Contact and join request details, including name, organization, email, phone number, and message.
  • Account and school data, including name, role, grade, class, subjects, and permissions.
  • Learning and usage data, including published content, submissions, assessments, results, and progress.
  • Technical data needed for security and operation, such as network address, browser type, login records, and errors.
03

How we use data

  • Provide the platform and operate accounts, permissions, and learning workflows.
  • Respond to join requests, contact messages, and support needs.
  • Protect accounts and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Measure performance and improve reliability and usability.
  • Meet applicable requirements and agreements with schools and organizations.
04

Students and minors

Bunat is designed for schools, students, and families. We do not use student data for targeted advertising and do not sell it. Student accounts are created and managed through the authorized education organization. Schools and guardians must use the platform in line with the requirements that apply to them.

05

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal data. We may use hosting, email, communications, and technical support providers that process data to deliver and protect the service, or disclose data where a valid legal obligation requires it. Users within a school only receive access allowed by their permissions.

06

Security and retention

We use access controls, school data separation, encryption in transit, audit records, and operational procedures to protect data. No digital method can guarantee absolute security. We retain data while needed to provide the service and meet contractual or legal requirements, then delete or de-identify it when retention is no longer necessary.

07

Cookies and session data

Bunat uses cookies and session technologies that are necessary for login, request protection, and saving language and interface preferences. We do not use them to sell user profiles or deliver targeted advertising. Disabling necessary session cookies may prevent login and other functions from working.

08

Your rights and choices

Depending on the applicable requirements and contractual relationship, you may request access, correction, deletion, or object to certain processing. If your account belongs to a school, we may direct the request to the school administration so authority can be verified and the request handled correctly.

09

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service develops or requirements change. The updated version and effective date will be published here, with additional notice for material changes where appropriate or required.
